RIP Shirley Knight

Sad to read yesterday that the tremendously gifted and lovely actor Shirley Knight passed
away at her daughter's home in Texas. She was 83.

Knight was Oscar-nominated twice, won a Tony award and three Emmys! Wow.

I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Knight at a screening of "Sweet Bird of Youth" back in '03
and she couldn't have been more polite. Classy lady.

She co-stars, of course, with Martin Landau in the OL's ep "The Man Who Was Never Born"
which some claim is the very best offering of this great series.
