What does Martin use to turn a solid object into a liquid?

Just finished watching the episode "Doggone Martian" on COZI TV. I wasn't sure that I heard it correctly the first time, when Ray Walston said it, but there was no doubt when Bill Bixby said it later on. The name of the rare Martian ore that allows Martin to turn solid objects into liquid is "narishkeit," which is Yiddish for "foolishness."
