I'm scared to watch this

Mario Cantone made a very funny saying that this show is one of the greatest and you won't turn gay if you see it. I don't know i'm still a little weary about checking it out. Anyone out there see it and not turn gay?

(Before anyone rakes me over the coals I'm making a joke Laugh dammit laugh!!!)

reply

LOL ok I'm laughing now.

But in all seriousness no you won't turn gay (well I didn't so there you go)

reply

For the record, I laughed as well.

Unfortunately, I am gay, but I assure you that if you are straight going into the series, you will be straight coming out (no pun intended....LOL)

The show was sadly sabotaged by CBS yet Judy still truly pulled off some of the greatest musical moments ever seen on television (especially when compared to today's musical shows like American Idol.) This was not a stable time in Judy's life, and there are shows when she clearly is not in top form, but when she is....WOW, there is no one who can touch her! For example, her performance of Old Man River from the first show taped is astounding and even, in my opinion, knocks Sinatra's version down to a distant second. There are also duets with the likes of Vic Damone, Barbra Streisand, Lena Horne, Tony Bennett, Peggy Lee, and tone more, sort of a "Who's Who" of legendary entertainers from the early 1960's.

Hope I helped! LOL

You can't be serious.

I watched it and didn't turn gay....until I was ten. I was always suspcious of me watching the show at that point making me the way I am.

Swing away, Merrill....Merrill, swing away...

reply

Oh, this'll turn you gay all right. Best not to watch just to be sure.

I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.

Shortly after Kennedy was killed Judy Wanted to sing for him,THE BATTLE HYMN OF THE REPUBLIC. CBS was afraid for some reason and encouraged her not to. In GARLAND style she thought *beep* CBS and sang it anyway. It is,if you watch it on youtube ,the most real emotion you will ever see on TV. It took so much strength on her part not to totally lose it.
