Mickey Rooney episode

"This'll Kill You" is one of my favorite episodes, probably because it takes the already noirish ‘Fugitive’ premise and gives it the full, retro noir treatment, both in style and story line/characters. There’s even a pulsating neon sign outside a sleazy hotel room window! Very well done on all counts.

I couldn't agree more. This is always one of my favorite episodes to watch as well whenever I go through a viewing of the whole series. Mickey Rooney and Nita Talbot are both so good in this one.

Rooney's performance was fantastic. He made all the other actors look like amateurs.

Agreed.... especially that scene where Kimble had tried to explain to him that his "girl friend" should not be trusted. The disbelief, to argument, to anger... how his expressions and tone of voice were SO real. Should have gotten an award for that one.
however... terribly sad in the end.

Agreed re the Mick's unwillingness to accept reality was pretty fricking sad.
Rooney was a heckuva actor I think and use Requiem For A Heavyweight and Bridges At Toko Ri as examples (altho the latter was a bit over the top perhaps - still damn good imho.)

I agree it's a great episode and Mickey is terrific in it, but I always found it funny the way he reacts to being shot. 😃

No blah, blah, blah!

Mickey Rooney is great in this one. He's great in everything he's done.
