TV Commercial Parodies

My favorite feature on Fractured Flickers is when they did TV Commerical Parodies.

One that comes to mind is a parody of the Marlboro commercial, where the product is called "Marbleboro". It was on the segement that followed guest Pat Carroll. I was about 10 at the the time, we are talking about 1966.

I havent't seen the show since then, and thought it went to the film graveyard. I am happy it's on DVD. Ohhhh those memories! :D

I tend to think this show was somewhat of a precursor to Saturday Night Live, even though the show used clips of old movies instead of original material.

I hadn't made the SNL connection, Chuck, but FF and Jay Ward Productions have influenced a LOT of today's comedy. I own this DVD and 3 seasons of R & B (yes, I know that means rhythm and blues to a lot of people, but to us stalwart comedy fans, it also means Rocky and Bullwinkle!). Ahhh.......
