This is my issue. I've always liked the "one-stop shop" aspect of IMDb and don't really want to be required to access a multitude of sites for all the programs and movies I want to discuss, nor do I want to lose any past discussions in which I've been involved.

I'd like to be a pessimist, but this is a luxury I cannot afford.—Joseph of Cordoba

Past discussions will be gone after the 20th. But "the movie database" seems to be the only place with boards for every actor / show / movie like IMDB.

An unutterably AWFUL decision, the end of our community and an attack on free speach in my opinion. IMDB, bought by Amazon, and acting just like a corporation.

Making terrible decisions that benefit a small few and upset the majority.

I suppose a bunch of politicians and CEOs are running everything now.

Totally undemocratic, this improves NOTHING, it's bad news.

I won't be back. See you on the free boards.

I won't miss the interminable IMDBPro adverts.

"Wasn't satisfacory experience for majority"; "Many meetings and discussions"?

UTTER BOSH!!!

I don't recall dying - must have happened when I was too drunk to give a flying FU.....

A privately owned website deciding to close their outdated discussion groups isn't an attack on free speech you moron. Stop embarrassing yourself your comment are disrespectful to those who lived through actual attacks on freedom of speech. Germany, Russia, Korea and many other countries spring to mind. You compare that to IMDB closing down? Nitwit.
