Do All Episodes Still Exist?

Are all episodes of the Japanese version still in existence? I heard the master tapes were destroyed, but I see that the first 164 episodes were released on DVD in Japan, while the final episode (#193) was included as a bonus feature on a DVD set in the U.S. So, what's the survival status?
