The Final Scene
I just saw "Zotz" and was a little puzzled by the final scene where the newly married professors Jones and Fenster are at the Lincoln Memorial. (I remember the scene in the General's office when he suggests to Jones that he visit the memorial but I thought he did that as a way to get rid of him) The poignant close-up of the Lincoln sculpture, followed by the tolling bell with the word "Liberty" etched on it, struck me as too heavy-handed a way for this light-hearted film to end. Any thoughts?
