Madonna would be good as 'Baby Jane' if there was to be a remake

I think she would be fantastic as Baby Jane if there ever to be a remake. Granted her track record in films isn't great, I think she would suit that role perfectly.

Who do you think would be a good Blanche?

reply

Madonna is too hot and young for that role.

reply

She's about the same age as the Joan Crawford and Bette Davis were at that time.

reply

No, just no.

She's a borderline wretched actress. So my vote is a no.

cookie,
I have to ask: would she be appraised as such is not for being "Madonna"? She has received decent reviews for some films.

reply

I think Tonya Harding and Nanci Kerrigan would work well!

reply

She's more of a singer than an actress, so...no.

reply

If only Madonna would go away like the characters in the film both did....

Well, 10 years ago when this thread started id say she could look the part, BUT since she's had to much plastic surgery AND hasn't the talent

reply

I actually think she'd be great, especially since she's had plastic surgery that, IMO, makes her look sort of scary. You're right, her acting is atrocious but I think she could pull off an eerie, psychotic lady very well.

Well, as you say, the thread is from 10 years ago. Now it would be too close to Madonna's real life as an older superstar trying to recapture her youth. She would never take such a role since she won't even admit to herself that she's no longer the youthful Material Girl.
