Given their appearance and the obvious power dynamic where Jane had the upper hand, I always thought Jane was the eldest sister, but then she does say to Blanche "I thought you were supposed to be the big girl in the family", so maybe Blanche is older? What does the book say?
shareI think Blanche was a year or two older. In the early scenes with young Baby Jane, Blanche appeared to be older.
Not sure how it plays out in the book.
That's what I think too but would like confirmation, if there is. It's interesting, if that's the case, just how strong Jane is, as a dominant figure, that she even dominates her elder sibling.
