Parachuting tragedy

The sequences of crew bailing out over the English channel were filmed by the Crewdson team and resulted in the very untimely death of a man who who was currently a world champion parachutist. I was anticipating that it would be mentioned on this site. However, he's not even listed on the expanded cast-list. Can anyone remember the name of this unfortunate person?
