Just watched this again for the first time in some years, and was struck by the familiarity of Robert Easton (Sgt Handown)'s voice. I immediately thought of the voice of "Phones" in the 1960s British childrens' TV series "Stingray". Looked it up on imdb, and sure enough - it's him!

Easton also played in an episode of Combat! titled A Little Jazz. At that time, his looks and voice were very distinctive.
