Early indie about a wartime adrenaline junkie

John Saxon was bigger back then. He plays a great "Heart of Darkness" character who can't stop killing even when there is an armistice.

Probably one of the best movies you haven't seen yet if you haven't yet seen it. It seems that it has not been available for a long time. I know it has been playing on ThisTV every once and a while.

Great to see early Robert Redford and, especially, Sidney Pollack back when he was only acting.

Yes, this was a very good war film. Pvt. Endore in this film was sort of like a Korean War prototype model of the renegade Col. Kurtz of "Apocalypse Now" fame.

Also, we see not only early Robert Redford here, but early Tom Skerrit as well. Interesting.

Don't forget Francis Ford Copolla
