When will a less expensive DVD be released?

I LOVE this movie and I would love to own it, but I'm horrified to see that the DVD is out of print and rare (some sellers on eBay go for $50). Does anybody know if Criterion or other DVD companies are planning a (re)release of this classic?

Until then, I'm just newfoundly thankful that my library carries this copy and that black and white movies aren't popular.

Did he train you? Did he rehearse you? Did he tell you *exactly* what to do, what to say?!

It sounds like Criterion will be releasing it sometime in the future, but it won't be for a WHILE.

You can get a Region 2 copy for about $15 plus postage from Amazon.co.uk. It's an excellent print, much better than the Fox/Lorber. All you need to do is make your DVD player multi-region, which is not difficult.

I am pleased to hear that this is out of print, as I purchased it for $12 in 2005. Thank you.
