I think it's amusing how the men who say things like this about women, like the Kruger character, and the women who think men are all rotten, keep being attracted to those types of people. It's no accident they think everyone of the opposite sex is horrible. What is surprising is they never seem to understand those are simply the ones they're attracted to and attract. They wouldn't know what to do with a 'normal', stable, and kind person. Then again if they ever got a hold of one of those their actions may cause that person to blow a gasket and become embittered and evil.
Woman, man! That's the way it should be Tarzan. [Tarzan and his mate]

Certainly, at some points in their lives, almost all heterosexual men have thought to themselves "Women, they're all monsters", as I am sure almost all heterosexual women have thought "Men, they're all monsters".
If you want to see a 'monster', yet in some ways 'on the money' depiction of a woman, watch "Ex Machina".
I really enjoyed watching Claire Trevor dish it out to Edward G Robinson. For me, she was just getting her own back after the way his character in Key Largo treated her. He was so mean making her sing in a pathetic way for a drink and then not giving it to her.
In this case the liquor was flowing and Claire was drinking her share and then some.
Idk, Trevor's constant screeching hysteria got old pretty fast and Robinson's work here was also rather unremarkable by his standards. Like pretty much everyone in this film, their characters seemed somewhat underdeveloped from the get-go though.
