Alec Baldwin Accuses Dylan Farrow of Lying, Compares Her to Book Character Raped by Her Father

If you haven’t read To Kill a Mockingbird in a while, Mayella Ewell is eventually exposed as a liar in the trial of Tom Robinson, and it turns out that rather than being raped by him, Tom actually rebuffed the advances Mayella made at him. This made her angry, so she accused him of rape out of vengeance. A crucial aspect of Mayella’s character that Baldwin might have forgotten, however, is that after the death of her mom, a teenage Mayella is made to fill the role of wife and is roped into an incestuous relationship with her abusive, alcoholic father. He rapes and beats her, and she keeps home and takes care of the children. So, in summary, Alec Baldwin tried to make a point about how Dylan Farrow wasn’t sexually abused by her father by comparing her to a literary character … that was continuously sexually abused by her father. And the resolution of Tom’s trial hinged on that reveal. So, that is awkward.

I haven't watched the film or read the book but when I saw Dylan looking at video of Woody talking, I saw the way her face twisted in absolute hatred and I just knew she had been coached by Mia for 20 years.

Agree. She says this happened ONCE (how my child molesters do this once??). No other female has ever stepped
forward to accuse Allen of anything.

Mia is a twisted piece of work, and at least one of Dylan's siblings (a brother, I believe) states he didn't do this, and even
her story is full of holes.

That said, the real tragedy is that I think Dylan has convinced herself this happened. This twisted young woman needs
therapy, instead of trying shame any actor or show business person who works with Allen.

I loathe Baldwin, but I say "way to go" on his refusing to join the sick bandwagon that is turning its back on Allen.

Isn't Dylan a mother now? If so, she should've gotten therapy before motherhood.

Baldwin has used a flawed comparison. However, the police detectives and child psychologists who investigated Woody Allen's case at the time concluded that Dylan Farrow was lying, and that her mother had most likely coached her to do so.
