I love the three stooges movies, but i think they would have been better with the original curly. Too bad he was dead by then.

I've come to enjoy Shemp,Joe,& Curly Joe,as replacements for the original Curly.They were all talented & funny men in their own wright.However,none of them could truly match the original Curly as most fans would agree.

Curly Joe had a sweetness to him that the others didn't. It made him endearing to us kids who watched these movies back in the day.

It is criminal that Columbia never made feature films with Curly. All the other comedy teams were making them. But they had guaranteed profit machine with the boys, why spend money on them.
even when Shemp came back, Abbott n Costello were making bombs then got a TV show. Stooges still earning 1934 wages and Columbia gave them leftover movie sets to use.
Maybe, had things been different we wouldn't still love them though. They were the underdogs.
