FOX DEARS WHERE IS THE DVD?

Fox is now celebrating its 70th. Anniversary!!! So where is this film hidden??
If it was seen fit to release "The Best Of Everything", "Love is a Many Splendor
Thing"...etc.etc. (and it is very good that they did) then where is "Tender Is
The Night"??? Where is "The Egyptian"??? If it was necessary to issue "The Hunters" and "D-Day 6th. of June", "Between Heaven and Hell"..etc.etc. (and thank God they did) where is "In Love And War", for example????? I simply do not understand their policy!!! Hope someone in Fox wakes up before we pass to the other world!!!!!!

It's still not on DVD, but you can now buy it from Amazon Video on Demand.

It is available on DVD as "Suave es la noche", on Impulso Records from Spain.

The Spanish dvd is an official release. I purchased it and it's fine. It doesn't have any extras but it's got the original artwork in the cover. These rare titles are not likely to get an official release and they may end up being released through a request service like Warners and Universal have started doing, in which they just burn a dvd at an expensive price.

Can you tell me if the Spanish dvd of "Tender is the Night" is widescreen and anamorphic? I'm quessing it's region 2.

Thanks,

The dvd is at my mother's I don't have it with me. I couldn't tell if it was or not. I think it was fullscreen but I'm not sure, I watched it in my computer. I really don't give that much importance, I just want to watch the movie. I don't even know what those numbers mean (16:8, 4:3 or whatever). It is region 2. The dvd is out of print so you can only get it through ebay or online. I think it's the only official release of this movie on dvd. The cover looks nice although they chose a small pic for it and you can tell it's a bit pixelated. It's got English and Spanish audio with Spanish(optional) subtitles. There is no trailer or anything else but it's got menus, scene access and a photo gallery. That company has released some other previously unavailable titles, so its worth checking out.Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply winonaforever2. 16:9 refers to the dvd image filling a widescreen flat panel tv without having to zoom the image. A dvd enhanced for 16:9 makes a big diffence on a large tv screen.

I don't know about Fox or its FMC. I saw the movie tonight on TCM.

Don't know about the FMC broadcast, but the TCM showing was NOT letterboxed.
