curious as to why so few people have rated this movie, it's one of the more famous Poe stories.

I have been looking for this movie for years and never thought to look for it here. I saw it as a child and remember the beating heart buried under the piano. It was chilling. I found copies of the DVD on Amazon and can't wait to get mine.

Would have gotten a better rating if it wasn't for the crappy "twist" ending. That spoiled the whole movie for me.

The same feeling for me too. The entire movie was well done until the ending.
