Who played the Hetman?

I recently watched this on TCM, and I immediately recognized Paul Frees as the narrator.

Then when I saw scenes with the Cossacks, it's pretty evident that Frees also was the voice of the Cossack leader, and is referred to as "the Hetman".

However, was that actually Paul Frees in the role? I looked up pics of Frees on Google, and I can't really tell. The Hetman seems to have a rather prominent, hooked nose...which Frees doesn't appear to have. Although in several pics he has a large mustach, and it makes me wonder.

It did appear that Frees' voice was dubbed, but an actor dubbing their own voice is standard stuff...when the dialog is not clear, or in other cases when the dialogue changes and lines must be redone.

Does anyone know the Hetman's name in the film? Anyone know if it was Frees in the role?
