..., while Andrei's story is told, the main focus in the book is Taras and his other son's relationship. As much as I love this movie, it surprised me when I read the book that Andrei was not the favored sin as depicted in the movie.

Taras Bulba is in my top ten movies and the book, while focusing on other aspects, is among my top ten as well.
