Most Memorable Line

Aunt Nonnie(Mildred Dunnock) saying(to Boss Finley), "You Can Go To Hell."
What a way to end a movie.

That was a pretty good line and I like the fact Nonnie went her own way. However, my first reaction to the ending was far from positive. What I did not like about it was the way Heavenly and Chance took off leaving aunt Nonnie behind.

Yes, they were setting out to start their lives together but they could have at least offered Nonnie a ride. She had always been their champion, supporter, and go-between. She facilitated their relationship even at the risk of upsetting Heavenly's father.

She had taken quite a chance (no pun intended) to defy Boss Finley; that's not something a lot of people got away with; especially those living under his roof. Nonnie may have gone there initially to help take care and raise her sister's children but they were now all grown up. Her brother-in-law could have easily tossed her out on her ear at any point.

The way things came to a head at the end of the movie I'd think Heavenly would have considered Nonnie's fate and known there's no way she would have stayed. It's likely the only reason she was still living there was because Heavenly was; so as not to abandon her, yet that's exactly what Heavenly seemed to do to her.
