Kenneth More and Angela Douglas
It was whilst making this film that More and Douglas met and later married - she was the second of his three wives.
Some People was made to promote the Duke of Edinburgh Awards Scheme and thus received some official help, and became a surprise box office success.
For instance the court scene was filmed in the old Bristol Magistrates Court and the local police also took an active role in assisting with the film in minor ways.
The policeman in the court scene was a policeman in real life and the road crash on the Portway at the junction of Bridge Valley Road (large van v motor cycle) involved the then Bristol Constabulary's senior motorcycling instructor.
The film is something of a Bristol As It Was and because so much was filmed on location around the city it is a valuable historic record of the changing town-scape.
