I hate when Amazon lists the DVD release as the release date of a movie

If I got to look this up at Amazon it says it is a 2005 movie ...
when it is in fact a 1962 movie. William Holden has been long
passed on before 2005 ... why do they do that, surely they can
figure out the real release date since they own IMDB.Com and
can find out that it was 1962??

Because Amazon is selling a DVD with a copyright date of 2005, not the original release print. I do, however, understand your annoyance.
