Help....bit confused *SPOILERS*

Ok so I watched this when I was a bit tired so if anyone can help with the plot that would be awesome. So I know Mutsuda was Chamberlain (and the one who was being held prisoner), and Kikui was Vice-Chamberlain (and one of the plotters), but who were the other two guys that kept meeting in that small room throughout the movie? One seemed to be Kurofuji, but I couldn't figure out what his position was...and who the other guy was in the room, who seemed to be very calm all the time and like he was the mastermind.... I'm just a bit confused. Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

Kikui, was the Superintendent and was the one in charge, the mastermind, and was very calm. I don't think he was called the Vice-Chamberlain but maybe there's a DVD that uses that translation.

Kurofuji (played by Takashi Shimura) is the superintendent's main lieutenant. Kurofuji was nearly as calm as Kikui. They were meeting at Kurofuji's camellia palace. Kurofuji also has a villa to the west.

The nervous guy was Takebayashi (played by Kamatari Fujiwara). It's never said what his role was. One of the places the decoy palanquins visited belonged to Takebayashi implying he was a high-status person.

Hanbei Muroto (Tatsuya Nakadai) works for the Superintendent and would pop in from time to time to report on the situation outside. One thing I found interesting was that when the drumming started Kikui and Muroto knew what it was about. Kurofuji and Takebayashi had not been included in that part of the plan.
