Is this the first film?
That had blood fountain gushing out of a body struck with a sword?
I was quite surprised when I saw this and always thought it was just a signature in exploitation films.
It is done in style here and it works very well.
Now it is a welcome staple not only in Japanese films but in other films influenced by it (Tarantino comes in mind).
So is this the first film to have it or has there been an earlier case where a sword cut caused fountain of blood in a film?
Doesn't have to be limited to Japanese film.
