Especially since the film was shot in the 60's when Italy wasn't quite overrun by tourists as it is now.

However, there isn't much chemistry between Pleshette and Donahue, despite the fact they were married for a brief period after shooting the film. It could be due to the fact that Troy wasn't the best actor.

It is a lovely travelogue. Suzanne and Troy tour Italy. Beautiful scenery and sites and lots of pretty people (most of whom are excruciatingly boring). I found that watching with the sound off was more enjoyable.
