Great movie. Just watched it for the first time. I noticed in the beginning, in the locker room, when Maish is the only character in camera view, there is a sign behind him that reads "Cash? In a hurry for money?..." Then at the end, when Maish watches Mountain get into the ring, the sign behind Maish says "No Gambling." Simply can't be a coincidence that these signs are only seen behind Maish. Just perfect.

shareGleason is such a strong presence in the entire film, it would take even observant viewers several times to catch any of the "backshots". Well done. Best scene for me is Gleason and Rooney playing cards. Gleason's expressions in the card game are some of the best on screen.
