Danish version with flying scene and no 'OOZE' effect

Ok, Ive read on wikipedia that theres 2 versions of the film. All I've been able to find is the Amercian version with the ass-crappy ooze effect and the infamous "flying Reptilicus" scene edited out, can anyone give me info on the Danish version with English subtitles?

Custer had it coming, Cortes will get it soon.

Certain file-sharing sites may have a rip, but I just got the Danish Reptilicus DVD directly from DVDoo.dk for less than seventeen dollars US, shipping included. The site is only in Danish, but Google Translate and Bing Translator will get you through the ordering process. I live in California and had it within eight days.

(NOTE: While the site offers PayPal, for whatever reason I couldn't complete the order that way. My credit card worked fine, though the bank called to confirm that I was in fact ordering stuff from Denmark. Again, use Bing Translator to translate the forms line by line and you'll be fine.)

The DVD itself is also Danish-only, but passable* English subtitles can be gotten from podnapisi.net in the form of an .SRT file, which you can open in VLC Player on your PC to play with the movie. (*You can edit the .SRT file to your liking.)

The film is digitally remastered, looks and sounds beautiful, and the content...woof. Dirch Passer was apparently the Danish Jerry Lewis, and the cover loudly announces "Saga Studios Presents A DIRCH PASSER FILM From the Golden Age of Danish Family Films" even though he's nowhere to be seen in the second half of the thing. But yes, he gets a song--playfully mugging and dancing with the local underage girls (OH JESUS YIKES NO) as they taunt him for being afraid of the monster (who hasn't yet begun its rampage).

And while Reptilicus indeed loses its assorted US-version animated effects (and that disquieting scream when it's burned with a flamethrower) in addition to the flying scenes we get a few more SFX shots that didn't cut the mustard for the US version. The editing's a little different too; we can clearly see General Grayson's bazooka is completely empty AFTER the shot in which it's loaded with the shell.

The score is pretty much the same; "Dancing in Tivoli" is still in English. (I must confess I love that song and can't get it out of my head.) I highly recommend the DVD to any fan of Ol' Reppy!
