now avaialble on DVD in the UK

I bought this today for £10 at HMV,distributed by ODEON ENTERTAINMENT.
I liked it but it was not as good as I hoped, the acting was better than the plot if that makes any sense.

ROBBERY featuring STANLEY BAKER does not seem to be on DVD which seems odd, likewise VILLIAN with RICHARD BURTON is not available.
I like THE ITALIAN JOB and GET CARTE but it would be good to see these other once famous British crime films.
Anyone agree?

I`m waiting for "Robbery" as well on DVD and haven`t managed to find any sort of worldwide release-real shame as it`s a quality film.Maybe Odeon might pick it up?

I bought "Prize Of Arms" primarily because Stanley Baker was in it(wish they`d release some more of his films on dvd)but was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the film.I thought the plot was quite ingenius, never giving too much away initially, and keeping the viewer guessing.Full of tension as they`re actually carrying out the robbery and what an ending!Yes I agree, the acting was particularly good although best performance I`ve seen by Baker, so far, is in a rarely seen war film called "Yesterday`s Enemy" from 1959.A shame that "Prize Of Arms" didn`t do particularly well upon it`s cinematic release and probably one of the main reasons why it`s been hidden from view for far too long.

For anyone who hasn`t seen this yet it`s on Movies4Men(UK film channel)in the next couple of days.

Greetings Khazi, just got a copy. A fine gallery of English character players, good story and an excellent example of a good idea unravelling in the most controlled of circumstances.
