Newspaper Advance Publicity
I can remember when this film was first released. The film that supported it was Captain Clegg. The week before it was shown there was a thin newspaper advertising it that was given out in the cinema. It's a bit odd that the finished film does not show Ambrose D'Arcy's death. I remember reading somewhere that after he had pulled the phantom's mask off he went and hung himself. I think there were some changes made because the film was released with an 'A' (under 16s could see it with someone over 16)rating and, perhaps, the producers decided it was better to bring it out at that rating rather than have things in it that may have ended up giving it an 'X' (you had o be 16)rating.
