Greek Tragedy

This is a very well-made film! But, when it comes to Greek Tragedy, it just doesn't work for me nearly as well as Shakespearean Tragedy.

In Greek, everyone is doomed just because they are. In Shakespearean, it is the flaws of the characters that drive them towards their doom.

To me, if they're just doomed for the sake of being doomed, it takes the human equation out of the drama.
