I have to admit, I'm a bit of a fan of the old horror and sci-fi movies of yesteryear.
But, I think this movie holds up even to modern ones. I would rather watch this then 'I am legend' or walking dead.
It's a pretty realistic take on the situation and the score is *beep* awesome.
It was excellent from any point of view, and particularly disturbing and hard to watch at times. Despite you don't see the rape scene of the daughter, neither the other case (the girl who was abused sistematically in her own house), it still makes one feel rather uncomfortable and uneasy. It was a very though movie and ahead of its time, IMHO.

I was surprised that it focused on the sexual assault and not survival especially given the year.
