Yeah, that kind of cinematic violence reminded me of the kind of violence we see in The Godfather movies. And also there's that baptism church scene in the first Godfather. It got me wondering if Pale Flower was an influence for Francis Ford Coppola in making The Godfather movies. Both use film noir-like shadows heavily while remaining 'gangster movies'.
