For me, the best part's the hilarious scene in which Joanna, after being dragged unconscious from the river by Norman then coming round to her senses, shows him trying to resuscitate her in a shot set up from her POV and, with his upper body pushing up and down on her, she obviously thinks, in her still-confused state, that he's trying to rape her or something! A cleverly composed shot - and very funny!
I think you miss the point, her reaction isn't because she thinks he is going to rape her, it is actually because she thinks he is Julio.
