Jack Lemmon and Kim Novak = amazing chemistry

*SPOILERS*

Jack and Kim had amazing chemistry together, especially the scene where Bill (Lemmon) tells Carly (Novak) that he knows of her murder convictions against her husband and they end up kissing on the stairs. It's such a dramatic scene at the beginning where she tries to kick him out and the scene ends considerably romantically, given the circumstances!

This was the third film that Jack and Kim did together (The Notorious Landlady (1962), Phffft! (1954) and Bell Book and Candle (1958)) and it's a shame that there aren't that many interviews of Jack discussing (in full detail) his work with Miss Novak, and vice versa.

Marilyn Monroe: I don't want to be rich. I just want to be wonderful.

This is only the first film I saw with Jack Lemmon and Kim Novak, but I've always felt they would be great together.
I especially wanted to see Jack in Kiss me, stupid. Ray Walston wasn't exactly bad as Orville, but I think Jack would have been better at playing the neurotic character. It would also have been great to see Jack playing opposite Kim Novak and Felicia Farr, who was his wife!
