Stanley Unwin?

I just rented this movie from Netflix and Stanley Unwin is nowhere to be found in the print I watched (on the Wham USA DVD). It may be an American pressing, but it's an original UK version of the film, with the British title, that would run the full 87 minutes after adjusting for PAL-NTSC conversion (it's 84 minutes on the disc and very obviously, from the sound of the voices, time compressed).

There's no Railway Guard in the train station scene, only the creepy Porter and the even creepier Hearse Driver. They wouldn't have put Unwin in that scene just for his looks (so he wouldn't be hiding in the background anywhere); the only reason anyone ever hired Stanley Unwin was to have him do one of his trademark gobbledegook dialog scenes.

So, did his scene fall by the wayside somewhere down the line -- or is his citation here on the IMDB a mistake? He does play a Railway Porter in FURTHER UP THE CREEK, in a small cameo (which I've seen). Could someone have confused that part with this movie and added his name to this listing in error?

Anyone know?

I agree he does not appear in the film and I think it is an error I have attempted to have his credit removed, we will wait and see if the imdb agree

It was me ! I had some kind of memory mix-up which really made me think Stan was in it. I have tried several times to get it deleted. Tried again just now, so I'll see what happens.

Deep joy to all
