Calling out Reviewer Steve-1338

Reviewer Steve-1338 makes the following statement

"The Communist prisoners did not lead a revolt to liberate Buchenwald, which was liberated by the United States Army."

Steve seems to have an agenda! Spend a little time on the Internet you will learn the Communist sent a Morse code message to the US Army ... then in fact did lead a revolt ... in anticipation of the arrival of the US Army.

Steve is correct that the film does not show an American soldier ... but so what ... this not a film about Americans.

More so ... Steve claims that when making this film E Germany overlooked Canadians as the source of the revolt. Again spending time on the Internet and you will not find anything that substantiates that remarkable claim.

When watching this film it must be understood that this is a 1963 E German (Communist) film ... and the script was censored. Yes there was some liberties taken ... not unlike the liberties often seen in US films about WW2. I can deal with as this is a fascinating film
