TIBURON coming to DVD in February of 2008!!

MERMAIDS OF TIBURON is coming to DVD on February 5, 2008!! According to Amazon.com and Movies Unlimited, the print will be in color, 1:85-1, and rated R. That means, if the information is accuate, that this will be a rare color print with some topless nudity of the mermaids. It is being released by VCI, and the title of the disc is PSYCHOTRONICA VOL. 3. There will be another film on the disc as a co-feature. There will be three volumes of PSYCHOTRONICA double-feature DVDs, as well as a PSYCHOTONICA COLLECTION that boxes the three discs together in a price-discounted box set.

MERMAIDS OF TIBURON has been delayed by about a week, but is now in transit from Amazon.com. I still expect it by Valentine's Day. What a treat!

Reportedly, the new DVD from VCI, which is being released in their PSYCHOTRONICA packaging, will contain BOTH the nudie version and the original version without nudity! I presume that both versions will be in color and widescreen, but it's very nice to offer people a choice regarding whether or not to view the nudie version.

I just watched the nudie version of this strangely charming film; it's a nice widescreen presentation from a print that's in pretty good shape.
