When there's no more room in hell, The dead will walk the earth...

I agree. The film is a bit uneven, and I had hoped for more thrills. I do have to say the two twists toward the end of the film were somewhat surprising. I knew there would be at least one twist, but I wasn't in guessing mode at the time.

I agree. This film was strictly so-so. The acting was good, but the story meandered way too much and there is precious little in the way of tension or momentum. 5 out of 10 from me.

I liked it - had some idea by half-way through where it was going, as Sangster around this time was relying on too many similar plot twists, as well as inspiration from LES DIABOLIQUES (in fact, I kept imagining Simone Signoret or Ann Todd, from TASTE OF FEAR, as Eve, although Nadia Gray was very good). This is another of what I tend to call "Hammer's nice little B&W psychological thrillers."

I gave it 6/10 also. I really liked this at first, when it was setting up the intrigue, but once it turned to action and deception, it fell rather flat. It really felt more like a soap opera than a thriller, and not a very strong soap opera at that.

It was all right, I guess, but most of the talent was wasted.

I couldn't help thinking as I was watching it, that it reminded me of an extended episode of "The Twilight Zone". Not any episode in particular, but just the cinematography style, the sets, and the characterizations...

The Citroen 2CVs and other French cars were pretty cool though...

Donald Houston's voice is obviously dubbed by Roger Delgado.
