Silvana Corsini's underarm hair

I hope people won't think me base for bringing this up (especially when there are so many other things about this beautiful film to discuss), but how awesome was Silvana Corsini's underarm hair? No wonder Ettore's mother couldn't keep him away from her.

A rare sight at the cinema nowadays, sadly.

You have got to be joking. A gorgeous film like this one, and this is where you focus? Really?

Yes. Really. Do you want to have an argument about this? :)

You're right. I was in a pissy mood. Very silly of me, out of character for me and quite childish. I am sorry.

reply

No worries. I do think the film is a masterpiece, by the way – just being a little flippant.

Well, I wanted to reply to you in order to acknowledge your gracious and funny response. I have only one rejoinder, which is - I enjoy your point of view, and you are witty.

I loved it, but then I love a natural woman.

It's not the main reason I watch a lot of European films, but I do know, every time I do watch one and there's a woman with underarm hair, it makes me smile a little. I just watched "Summer With Monika" and it was the same thing.

Bruna reminded me of Gwyneth Paltrow.

Woman, man! That's the way it should be Tarzan. [Tarzan and his mate]

This is on my DVR but haven't watched yet, but I'm glad there's pit hair! Like Silvana Mangano in Riso Aamaro!

Does 'Silvana' mean "she who shuns the blade" in Italian?
