$2500? How retarded!

Great film one of my alltime favorites. Sure you can nit pick about things starting with the very first scene when it shows a Frenchman trying to out run a German car. Roddy McDowell trying(Unsuccessfully) to sound like a kid from West Virginia.

The one scene that is dumber than hell is the depiction of a GI winning $2500 shooting craps with other GIs.

The average pay in 1944 was around $100 a month! It was an impossibility and no GI would have hundred dollar bills.
