That never bothered me because it was being used to remind us of the tense situation that the British airborne troops were in. Their fate was to be either killed, captured, or joined by their forces coming in from the beach. The final "Hold until relieved." marked their relief at the arrival of the other troops.

Everything over-done and hits you over yer head.

Given the fact that Richard Todd actually fought at Pegasus Bridge that day I guess he's entitled to say it as many times as he wants.
