Who played the USAF helicopter pilot?
Bill Bixby, the right-seater, is credited in the IMDB list of the full cast and crew, but there is no credit for the pilot.
I thought it might be Dwayne Hickman (Dobie Gillis), but there is no credit for him in Lonely Are the Brave.
And, for the record, I've loved this movie since the first time I saw it back in the 1960s.

Yeah, it was great to see AND HEAR Bill Bixby. I don't think the pilot was a Hickman though. That part of the movie was a trip, wasn't it?
shareOddly enough, the helicopter pilot in this movie was a young Lee Majors. I had a chance to speak with him at a convention years ago and we got on this topic by chance.

Unless he had major facial surgery between 1962 and when he was in "The Big Valley" in 1965.
Definitely - Majors must have confused LATB with some other film he appeared in...
