Video or DVD available? - The Inspector (1962) Discussion

Trying to find a copy of the movie too. The beach where the final sequence was filmed (meant to be set in palestine) is where a bungalow my family owns is. Actually, my uncle got stephen boyd's autograph as he was staying in the bungalow below ours. The final sequnce is filmed at three cliffs bay, gower, Wales. Don't think this film has ever or ever will be released on video or dvd. Apparently, it was a flop. I haven't actually seen it either.

I, too, would love to have a copy of this movie.

Perhaps, next time it is shown on television, someone can record it and then market the copies, or trade them, or something?

I've been trying to get a copy of this movie for years, and could trade something for it.

My father watched the filming from the sand dunes. Amazing to see it in glorious technicolor. After more than 50 years the beach and cliffs look remarkably unchanged to when I was there this Summer! I too own a Summer chalet overlooking Three Cliffs. Didn't Stephen Boyd stay at 'the Cabin' at top of the hill?
Shame a 50th anniversary programme wasn't made to show when Hollywood came to a Three Cliffs Bay!

I have been wanting to get a copy of this movie since 1962 and I have not been successful. I first saw this film in 1962 while I resided in Germany and I enjoyed it very much. Can anyone, please let me know how to obtain a copy of this movie (VHS, DVD). I would greatly appreciate the help in getting a copy of the movie.

I was able to catch this movie under the title "Lisa" (not "The Inspector") .. I suspect it's the same ? ...

I've seen it available on this website for 20 U.S. dollars. It's a little more than I want to pay. Let us know if there are other places where it might be available.

I got a copy from a seller on ioffer.com cost me usd$10 even though UK seller and quality while not perfect definitely watchable - the British "character" actors were as brilliant as I remembered and the movie as good as I remembered. Certainly glad I purchased it, if it appears on fox classics in Australia anytime soon that would be a bugger though.

I got a copy of this movie on a DVD sent by a seller on ebay which I think was made from a cable channel broadcast. Video quality is pretty good.

This film can be viewed on HULU under the title "Lisa".

It's never "just a film."

This and many other rare videos are available on DVD at Movies Unlimited (www.moviesunlimited.com. These are real studio DVD releases. I have purchased several from them.
