I love this movie but some of the human characters are so stupid!

A bunch of Navy men on a submarine just keep their submarine headed towards a radiating iceberg. You'd think they would've stopped their submarine upon seeing that. Then there's a CEO of a pharmaceutical company who has made his company completely dependent on a TV show that nobody is watching instead of ads on TV. Then they somehow think getting some monster off an island a constituent of theirs visited is somehow gonna make people buy their medicines and medical supplies. Frankly they should have just had it be a TV station instead of a pharmaceutical company as that would make more sense. I've never heard of TV ratings effecting a pharmaceutical company.
