The 1963 American version is six minutes shorter than the 1962 Japanese original. They might have added some American actors too.

I saw a badly edited version of this several years ago. I laughed my head off at some of the absurdities. I don't know if this is it, or if what I saw had been edited even more, to add more commercials.
