If you are a King Kong fan THEMIGHTYPEKINGMAN then you are an idiot. Godzilla is more popular than King gay Kong

Um, stop trolling. It's two guys in rubber suits.

Chill. I mean really . . . Chill!

I think in this movie King Kong won. But of course, you have to remember GODZILLA is like Jason in the Friday The 13th movies, he just doesn't die or stay down.

Godzilla came back anyway, even if he lost a 'fist fight' with a giant ape that walked away afterwards.

Are people STILL on this? Kong won, Godzilla lost. Being a Godzilla fan this makes me sick, but I've gotten on with life.

IT'S TWO MEN IN RUBBER SUITS IN A FAKE FIGHT THAT HAPPENED IN 1962

"Shut up Kong fans Godzilla should of won"

Should have (not of) and doing so are two different things.

Mike Tyson should have defeated James Buster Douglas.

Man O War should have beaten Upset.

All popularity and script issues aside, there is no way Kong could actually defeat Godzilla; they had to scale him up in size and give him an electric abiltiy he never had before just to give him a chance, and even then he was beaten the first time, and only managed to draw round 2 with the help of a convenient lighning storm, and the fact that he was fighting easily one of the weakest incarnations of Godzilla.

I'm not confused, I said: "all script and popularity issues aside."

I was simply stating that in a realistic fight, Kong wouldn't have a chance.
And judging solely from what the film shows, neither monster is shown as clearly the victor. I am fully aware of Toho's view on the matter, however.

All I'm saying is that Kong only won because he was more popular at the time; Godzilla is a far more powerful monster, and any halfway realistic fight between the two would see Godzilla win easily.

No, I never said that the 1962 Godzilla is as strong as the more recent versions; in fact, the 60s-70s Godzilla is very weak in comparison.
But there's still no way he could realistically lose to Kong; the level of contrivance involved in the battle was ridiculous; Kong getting powered up by a convenient lightning storm just when he's finished, Godzilla not just killing him when he had the chance, Kong's new 'electric touch,' etc.
Don't get me wrong, I like King Kong, and he's an iconic monster, but the fight in this movie was a lame cop-out in a bid for popularity.

Godzilla should of won, but Kong was revived by the lightening bolts, which ultimately lead to the two duking it out and tumbling in the sea. Only Kong was seen swimming away, so many believe he was the victor.

Godzilla should've won that fight. I'm a fan of both Kong and Godzilla, but I really think Godzilla should've won. When Kong first sees Godzilla in the movie, Kong chickens out and leaves. He's scared of Godzilla, yet he somehow manages to win. At the end Godzilla is on top of Kong when they hit the water. Kong would take all the impact and most likely he would be knocked out by it. Plus Godzilla LIVES underwater. He might of been kicking Kong's ass underwater and Kong chickened out and swam off.
