Hilarious How Much Help Kong Needed to be Competitive in This Film

I watched a few snippets of KKvG recently for the first time in years (watched the movie religiously as a kid). Amusing years later to realize just how much needed to change with King Kong to actually make him a real threat to Godzilla. Writers had to make him over 100 feet taller, give him some superhero power with electricity while completely conjuring up some B.S. handicap about Godzilla being afraid of it, and also severely limiting the use of Big G's atomic heat ray. Kong was grazed by it twice the entire film. Other times Godzilla blasted the ground next to him after knocking him out which accomplished nothing and shot it at the ground in front of him a few times again later to try to convince him to retreat? Baloney. Godzilla got paid to take a dive. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

It's been over 50 years. Time for the rematch.

Kong is just a giant ape. He depends on his brute strength, speed, and intelligence.

The electricity part was something left over from a planned FRANKENTEIN VS GODZILLA film they sadly never made.

Neither truly lost though, since both returned in other movies. Unless KING KONG ESCAPES isn't considered canon with this one.

I think it's just as well that wasn't made. I've heard people talk about how they planned to somehow make Frankenstein's Monster as tall and big as Godzilla. That's just dumb.

Green Goblin is great! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1L4ZuaVvaw

Well that part did happen.

I'd rather stick with the original Universal Studios Frankenstein movies and the book.

Oh come on....open your mind to the possibilities! It's a campy HOOT of a movie!

That's a photoshopped image taking Godzilla from Mothra vs. Godzilla and editing him into a publicity still from Frankenstein vs. Baragon.
