Fantastic film

I heard that this was one of Elvis' own favorites and I can see why. His character is sweet, good natured, gets the pretty girl and lives happily ever after.

Charles Bronson did a wonderful job also. His limp was never explained even though the Kid watched him hobble along a few times. I presumed it was from a boxing accident, but then he was riding a bike later so it wasn't too detrimental.

Too bad guys like this don't exist in the real world.

Why ain't you at the garden party you heathen?

I like this movie too but wouldn't quite say it was "fantastic". The acting is good and the story is interesting (which is harder to say for some other Elvis movies). Gave it a 7.

I agree with you. Loved this film (although Blue Hawaii is my favorite). This movie is extremely romantic. I loved the scene where Elvis sings and twists with Joan Blackman and the other songs too. There's not a bad song in the bunch. When I saw the EP at my local record store in 1962, I bought it immediately. I had to have it. I still have it, although the cardboard cover (which would be worth a nice little chunk of money now) is long gone.
